It's clearly important enough to look like you're ahead in AI that even the biggest companies are willing to massively underperform. See also: OpenAI and their advanced Scarlett mode, sorry, Advanced Voice Mode, and Apple with their AI promises that still are only partially available.
No, thankfully I've been seeing this mentioned ever since MS announced the death of WMR. Given that I upgraded from SLS1 i5 to SLS2 with RTX4060 specifically for WMR I decided to set a 'target update' to hang on to, meaning my Win11 install will not get 24H2.
Understandable. I have pretty much decided that since my Windows 11 SSD is only for Skyrim SE that I'm going to take it offline and keep it there. Transfer files with USB-C from one of my phones. Maybe use LocalSend with connection to a local network that has no internet.
I'm with you - it will have to go (I think) - but my wife is seriously considering upgrading to Windows 11 (never thought I'd hear that) just so she can use Recall...go figure...
That's the perfect use for it, but I can't say I often run into questions like that. I think because my brain is already so fried from Reddit that I forget anything I see instantly and completely. 🤐
This is now the site’s most confusing thread.
Welllllll, not back yet.....
I AGREE they should delay Recall if there is any security concern...
What pi$$e$ me off is just HOW BAD was the originally intended release if it is taking this long to try to close those holes?
Apparently it’s baked into the 24H2 Update… and it’s a dependency for File Explorer. Have fun untangling that.
I will instantly uninstall it
I'd love to get an SP11 Copilot+ just to use all these AI features. Looking forward to amazing deals.
