So, my Fitbit is having battery problems. I'm thinking of either just getting the newest Fitbit, or looking at a Smart Watch.
Questions for those of you who have Smart Watches. What do you realistically use them for? Have they added to your daily life? Anything you would change?
I mainly use my Fitbit for exercise tracking and step counting along with actually checking the time. I am not sure that I would use any other Smart Watch functions if I were to upgrade, but maybe I'm missing something.
I'm a Garmin fan after having a Forerunner for over 3 years now. I still get updates & being on Android, I can reply to text. Health tracking & software is better than Fitibit from what I've see with my mother's old Fitbit. Plus, battery life is still very good as I can easily get a week with light gps usage & sleep tracking set on; 3-4 days with 6=8 hours of gps usage. I would say take a look at the Garmin 255(or 265 if you want oled) or Venue line up if you want a bit more of a lifestyle looking watch.
I've had an Apple Watch since first release, and stopped at Watch 7. It is primarily for telling time (yes, old school), monitoring my walks, weather alerts, and message/email alerts when in meetings, etc. It was rewally handy during COVID for monitoring O2 (found it was within 1-2% points of my finger monitor). bottom line, a good price on a refurb 7 would be a good deal - not sure about retail on all the new models.
