Totally agree. I have a mostly love relationship with my iPad Pro 12.9”, but that is because I don’t use it like a desktop. I only use it like a tablet.

100% same here. I think I use a total of 6 apps on my IPP realistically, even though I have several more. It's my creative device only, and works really, really well for that.

I still dream of the day that Files is actually useful though. Even just for my art files it would be amazing if Files worked better.

I saw that - "How dare they block corporate IT from tracking your every movement - we might have to defend/prosecute a harrassment claim!" However, I do have to agree Thurrott a tiny bit - when my wife heard about Recall she wanted to know why she doesn't have it! The mere fact that so many people use teh same password everywhere, or none at all, probably led MS to ignore the risk the first time (or intentionally wanted access to YOUR data).

Yeah I am always amazed at the sheer number of people (close relatives and family members included) that just don’t care about privacy or giving data to things. For instance, my daughter is taking the ACT. Why does the ACT need demographic, high school coursework (with grades), and even parental (including income) data? Also there was a ton of sleazy ads about study materials right in the registration process!

So bad. And no one really cares.

Yeah fair. One major item is an upgraded SoC that can comfortably run their soon to be released AI additions. Only the 15 Pro and the 15 Pro Max of the current lineup will support all the AI features. So you and I are both good, but we’re probably in the minority here. Then again, given the anti-AI mood amongst us curmudgeons, that might not be a big loss. :)

Definitely not enough of a reason to upgrade my iPhone 15 Plus in my opinion.

Totally agree. If someone android-related would give me an actual secure OS, I would totally switch at this point, but none of them will.
