After I got that incredible keyboard + pen deal ($69 open box from Best Buy) I occasionally peeked on eBay. Got a SQ1 16GB/512GB with non-pen keyboard for $350, and the thing is almost brand new. Screen protector on it and 12 battery cycles used. Huh? But I’m not complaining!
Feels a lot faster than my other ARM tablet, the old Galaxy Book2. I’m guessing the ~50% CPU benchmark increase and the 16GB RAM (vs 8GB on the Book2) have something to do with that. Also fewer sharp corners than the Book2, and nice to have Windows Hello vs. The fingerprint reader of the Book2. No OLED, but I’ve got an OLED TV for that now. :) So far I love it, I’ll use this for document markup, for which the SLS2 was a bit of a hot brick.
I did look over at the SDX models, but at $1000 before tax that was a tough pill to swallow for what is a nice-to-have for me, not essential. In conclusion, I’m enjoying a new device high, living the TPCR life!
Congratulations. My SQ2 Pro X has been great. Even though the differences between the Pro and the Pro X are subtle, I much prefer the form factor over the vented Pro body.
"I’m enjoying a new device high, living the TPCR life!" That should be our tribe motto...
