I still have one PC in my burgeoning office that runs Windows 10 but not because it won't upgrade (although it won't). Rather, it's simply because my industrial grade scanner does not work with Windows 11. Even the install with Windows 10 is riddled with duct tape and bubble gum and I long for a machine running Windows 8.1, the last version where it worked flawlessly with the fujitsu drivers. Either way, I will ride Windows 10 to the end and then buy a new scanner.
Lawyer (and jerk) in me couldn't resist - the M$ disclaimer:
"This PC doesn’t meet the minimum system requirements for running Windows 11 — these requirements help ensure a more reliable and higher quality experience. Installing Windows 11 on this PC is not recommended and may result in compatibility issues. If you proceed with installing Windows 11, your PC will no longer be supported and won’t be entitled to receive updates. Damages to your PC due to lack of compatibility aren’t covered under the manufacturer warranty. By selecting Accept, you are acknowledging that you read and understand this statement.”
Q1 - How is that much different than forging on with Windows 10 WITHOUT any support?
Q2 - Since when has Microsoft EVER covered these - "Damages to your PC due to lack of compatibility aren’t covered under the manufacturer warranty." In fact, Microsoft is almost always the FIRST to point a finger at HP, Dell, Lenovo, (whichever maufacturer); or that your problem needs to be solved by the maker of the hard drive or GPU board YOU installed. They NEVER take responsibility and/or liability...
